Montserrat

Holà!

Hey everyone! It's been a long time that we didn't write some news, so, there we go, not really fresh news but still fabulous! Quickly we will talk about our experience on the Way of St James.

Montserrat

After hitting the road again in january, we had a stop in a catholique monastery called Montserrat, on the top of the mountain which has the same name. "Montserrat" means "the sawed mountain". The legend says that angels came to saw the mountain, that's why there are all those special shapes. This place was created after the apparition of a statue of the Virgin on the mountain. People from the village saw a bright light in the dark of the night, during some days. When they went up to understand, they discoverd a little statue of the Virgin with the baby-Christ, sculpted in a really dark and uncommun wood. The miracle was here, since this time, in this place, people from all over the world come to reatreat

We lived there at the rythm of the monks, in the middle of this amazing landscape. What a curious community the monk one, they didn't choose each other, but live with the same conviction, that when you live and share the teachings of Jesus, peace will come on earth. We can feel the energy which passes throught them when they sing together in the basilic. Montserrat is also famous for it's boys school where kids sing every evening in the basilic. Beautiful and angelic show!

Through the years, some hermit monks left behind them different kinds of hermitages, built or dug in the stone. Thanks to them we spent some nice nights in the mountain, into it. It was sacred, in the middle of the nature, on the floor, into a mountain called "the elephant": back to the essencial.

Thoses january days into this monk community gave us a lot of peace, it was a calm time before starting again our travels. Aymeric in one room, Anna in another one, we really appreciated thoses days of loneliness, walks in the montagne, encounters with monks and shared meals. Thanks for their generosity.

We are currently in Andalucia, south of Spain, where we help in a consciousness development center, a bit like Kura Waka where we were last year, but more about the feminity. Still happy we are, and still a lot of joy we wish you, like we say here...

HASTA PRONTO AMIGOS.
