THE A&A's PROJECT
We are the A&A's team with Anna Brien and Aymeric Dujardin. Each of us have lived and traveled abroad. We both consider these life experiences, far from our homes and meeting the others, as being the ones we learned the most from. It is why we are now doing this project :
We are traveling around the world with two aims in mind. First, we want to find the actors from the ecological transition in self-directed communities, biological and permaculture farms, and meeting with everyone who live differently with nature.
Our second research is the spirituality one. Today we try to take some distance with our religious education, and, our quest is to learn and understand by ourselves the different religions and philosophy that enrich our world. Maybe we will find one that will be close to our values and hearts.
« IF I COULDN'T WRITE MUCH, IT'S BECAUSE BEING HAPPY TOOK ALL MY TIME. »
We want to be actors of this turn the world is taking. To do concrete actions and convey what we learn through a comic book and conferences accessible to everyone. This will happen when we will come back. And during the trip we use an online journal through which we share what we learn and tell about our discoveries : Le Journal Terre Native (the native from earth journal). We deeply think that this transition is essential for the world peace. It is the reason that drives us and for wich we want to do our part. We are eager to discover and learn from each culture and from each person we're meeting.
HOW WE TRAVEL
By foot, by bike, by boat, hitchhiking... as least as possible by plane. We want to travel simply and slowly : the plane is too fast and pollutes a lot. This way to travel gives us more freedom and surprises. The way matters to us as much as the step. Through this means of transports, we are pushed to meet the others, because we are dependant on the places we are, thus on the people around us. We want to take the time to be.
We would like to spend time on every continent of the Earth, our home. We are starting our trip with northern Europe and Scandinavia. Then it will be our aims and adventures who will guide us. As of our second departure from France, we are heading towards the Iberian Peninsula.
FOR HOW LONG
We left France at the end of November 2016 for the time we will need to accomplish our project. We consider that time limit gives stress and rush, when, without a time limit, sharings with people and discoveries are deeper.
Quote from Le Temps du Voyage (the time of travel) from Patrick Manoukian with who we share the same vision of the travel :
''If you can, don't let the term of your trip design your steps, and prepare the next step only when the feeling of leaving the previous one slowly comes up. Take the habbits of sitting aside people instead of in front of them, make yours some of their values and defend them with them, learn few daily things to share with, choose to live meetings instead of seeing things... The nonchalance will do the rest, wich is neither a disinterest, nor a lazyness, but the elegant and natural way of a traveler who knows he is a stranger going by. ''
